After breakfast at your hotel, your guide from KILIMANJARO MAGIC ADVENTURE will transfer you to Marangu Gate, located on the southeastern side of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Upon arrival, complete the registration formalities before meeting your mountain crew. Once introductions are complete, your adventure begins.

Today’s trail winds through one of East Africa’s most beautiful rainforests. Towering fig trees, giant ferns, moss-covered trunks, and colourful wildflowers create a magical atmosphere. Keep your eyes open for black-and-white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, hornbills, and numerous tropical bird species.

The steady climb leads to Mandara Hut, where you can relax after your first day on the mountain.

If time permits, take a short walk to Maundi Crater, which offers panoramic views of northern Tanzania and neighbouring Kenya.

The vegetation changes dramatically, with giant lobelias, everlasting flowers, and giant groundsels dominating the scenery.

The fresh mountain air and spectacular landscapes make this one of the most enjoyable trekking days.

Arrive at Horombo Hut in the afternoon, where you can enjoy beautiful sunset views while preparing for the higher elevations ahead.

Today’s trail crosses the vast alpine desert known as The Saddle, a broad plateau stretching between Mawenzi and Kibo Peaks.

The terrain becomes rocky and dry as vegetation disappears. Your guide will encourage a slow, steady pace while monitoring your condition to help your body adapt to the altitude.

Upon arrival at Kibo Hut, enjoy an early dinner before your guide conducts a detailed summit briefing.

You’ll retire early, as the summit attempt begins shortly before midnight.

Around midnight, begin your summit ascent under a sky filled with stars.

Following a slow and steady pace, climb the steep volcanic scree to Gilman’s Point (5,685 m) on the crater rim. As dawn breaks over East Africa, continue along the crater edge toward Uhuru Peak (5,895 m)—the highest point on the African continent.

Standing at the summit is an unforgettable achievement and a reward for your determination and perseverance. Celebrate with photographs at the iconic summit sign before beginning your descent.

Return to Kibo Hut for a short rest and lunch before continuing down to Horombo Hut, where you will spend your final night on the mountain.
